Creative but sad - anti-homeless benches in Tokyo

Last year I traveled to Japan but didn't notice the cleverness hidden in the design of the benches in the parks in Tokyo. I did notice that Tokyo's homeless were quite invisible, mostly living in tents hidden in the trees of the parks or under highway bridges. I guess the clever design of the park benches as well as Japanese pride are the main reasons.

In the picture above you can see examples of design creativity:

Picture A: Not big enough to lie down
Picture B: Too small to be comfortable
Picture C: Again, not enough space to lie down
Picture D: Stainless steel so its too hot in the summer, too cold in the winter.
