State government cost saving success story

The simple idea of installing motion activated paper towel dispensers in bathrooms save taxpayers in Kansas over $10,000 in 2012. Chris Simons, who came up with the idea received a check for $1,025 as a thank you at an award ceremony earlier this month.

Kansas's Interim Secretary of Administration Mark McGivern said "Chris Simons implemented this idea because it was the right thing to do for Kansas taxpayers".
