According to author Luke Williams, "Here's the bottom line: Companies that try to differentiate themselves by focusing on incremental innovation instead of game-changing, disruptive innovation will differentiate themselves right out of business". That might true, but what's also true is that many companies are not focusing on any kind of regular innovation at all. Things stay the same until the boss gets a brainwave. Mr Williams is also kinda stating the obvious - companies that make big changes/innovations will make themselves stand out from companies who make only small, regular changes. That's not exactly a ground-breaking insight that's going to change the way we look at innovation or our own incremental innovation software tool.

That said, from the reviews, this book seems like it's worth a read and I'm curious to discover the thoughts and ideas of the man who's company came up with Speed-dating for new co-workers.
